E! Online posted an exclusive article in which Melissa Rosenberg, screenwriter for the first three movie scripts of the Twilight books, reveals that she thinks Channing Tatum would be perfect the role of Riley, a new vampire who appears in the the third book, Eclipse.
Melissa goes on to say, “He really is tragic. He’s a puppet for Victoria [bad-girl vampire played by Rachelle Lefevre]. So he has to break your heart a little bit at the end when he realizes that she doesn’t want him. Channing could do that beautifully.”
She also talks a little bit about putting more Rob Pattinson in the Twilight Saga: New Moon movie, and the possibilities of the Breaking Dawn script, if the movie is to move forward.
I know she mentions that Breaking Dawn would have to be toned down, and I definitely agree. I remember being completely engrossed by the story, but at the same time, thinking they couldn’t possibly make it into a movie…for teens. And I only mean that because Stephenie Meyer was really descriptive in ahem, certain scenes, and to see those come to life might be a little shocking to some.
Do you think Breaking Dawn will be given the green light? Do you even want to see it on the big screen? Or do you think it’s best preserved in book form only? Why or why not?
