Here’s a short interview from The Dish Rag with Kristen Stewart and some of her thoughts on the next Twilight movie, New Moon.
Stewart says that “New Moon” is more tragic than “Twilight,” not as “sunshine and roses.”
Yeah, ya think?

After reading the first book of the Twilight saga (especially after that teaser chapter from New Moon at the end), I had to dive right into Book Two, New Moon. Out of all the books in the series, this one really messed with me emotionally. I was almost agitated reading it. Not because it was a bad story. And not because I didn’t like Jacob either. I was right there along with Bella in her waves of emotion. I felt her anguish…just because of how attached to Edward I got in the first book. Okay, so maybe my emotions weren’t as strong as hers, but the pain of Edward’s absence was definitely there.
I had never skipped to the end of a book before in my life, but I just had to know…was Edward going to come back? Even though I knew there were two more books in the series, it was killing me! Finally I gave in and skimmed for words that gave me just the slightest hint and satisfaction to see that he was at least in the picture. I felt horrible peeking, guilty even, but holy cow was I relieved.
I still haven’t been able to re-read the books since I bought them last summer. They’re currently on loan. I look forward to reading New Moon again and hopefully it’s before the movie comes out in November. I definitely think I’ll enjoy it more knowing how everything plays out.
I think I’m even more excited about this movie than I was about the Twilight movie, and I’m not sure why. I don’t even really know what my favorite book is out of the whole series. I’ll get back to you on that.
What I do know is that I’m most looking forward to the break-up scene. Really I just want the movie to recreate the feeling of reading the book. I expect tears, damnit!
