Dun dun dun. The awaited Eclipse trailer is here. It’s been awhile since I’ve read the books (gasp!), so this 90 seconds of movie goodness served as a nice refresher of what to expect when June 30 arrives.
Oh Jacob, you do give a convincing argument about why Bella should stay with you, but can you really compete with Edward? Your abs may be manly but your face is still so full of innocence. You’re more “friend” material. Ahem. Side note: the small glimpse of shirtless Jacob was probably unnecessary for the story, but SO welcomed by Twifans, I’m sure.
Moving on. Let’s not ignore the fiery redhead that leapt across the water towards the end of the clip. The vengeance-filled vampire is back yet again in the form of Bryce Dallas Howard. In case you missed the big whirl from what seemed like eons ago, a different actress plays Victoria in Eclipse (formerly Rachelle Lefevere). I’m sure Bryce is just fine in the movie, but to borrow Simon Cowell’s phrase “if I’m being honest”, I don’t think Bryce’s facial expression looks as menacing as Rachelle’s did in the previous movies. I know it’s just one glance, but I need some convincing.
Is this trailer enough to tide you over until June 30? What are your thoughts? If you knew nothing of Twilight (that’s unheard of!), would it entice you to spend your $10 to see this in the theater?
