Chelsea
WHO: Chelsea, a member of the Volturi guard, is described as tall and beautiful similar to fellow member Heidi. But unlike Heidi’s odd colored eyes (from her contacts), Chelsea has red / black eyes, a common trait shared with vampires that feast on human blood. Also, she has a mate named Afton, who is part of the Volturi as well.
LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD VAMPIRES: Chelsea’s abilities are perfect for recruiting new vampires for the Volturi. Her special powers are similar to Marcus’ ability of reading strengths in relationships. But even better, Chelsea can manipulate relationships by either making it stronger, weaker, or completely breaking the bond altogether.
So how does this work in recruiting new blood?
For one thing, she can make vampires forget about all that is important to them and devote the rest of their life to the Volturi. This is how she prevented Marcus from leaving when Aro killed his mate, Didyme.
Speaking of that, one has to question the strength of relationship between Marcus and Didyme. They say that Chelsea’s ability can only work at the friendship level, so maybe the reason she was able to break Marcus and Didyme because they had just fallen in love. Her powers would definitely not work on the undying love between Bella and Edward.
