Embry Call
WHO: Embry Call is one of Jacob Black’s closest friends and lives in the La Push reservation, which is not too far from Forks, Washington. He has shoulder length, black hair and is very tall and slender. Although his personality is a little more reserved and quiet, he still has a playful side.
BREAKING THE BOND?: One reason why Embry and Jacob get along so well is that they share the same hobbies – riding and fixing dirt bikes. Both of them were quite suspicious that Sam Uley’s "cult" was taking over La Push. So, when Embry started hanging around Sam’s group, Jacob really began to worry…and was terrified he’d be recruited next. Of course we know what really what was going on, but poor Jacob truly thought he had lost his friend to Sam.
WHO IS HE, REALLY?: It was unknown if Embry could even change into a wolf since his mom is not a Quileute. She’s actually from the Makah tribe, but it’s the Quileute tribe whose heritage produces the shape shifters. Because of these facts, it’s assumed that Embry is actually half-Quileute, with an unknown father (who could possibly be related to Jacob or the others).
HANGIN’ WITH THE PACK: As a wolf, Embry’s coat of fur is gray with dark spots along his back. And, like all werewolves, he can hear the thoughts of his own wolf pack members while in wolf form. As long as they are able to shapeshift into wolves, their ages are delayed. Their other abilities include quick healing, advanced senses, endurance, durability and strength.
