Emily Young
WHO: Emily Young is a human girl from the Makah tribe living in La Push, WA. She’s the second cousin of Leah and Seth Clearwater, and also Claire’s aunt. Her long, black hair complements her copper-toned skin. Sam Uley thought she was beautiful when he saw her one day while visiting Leah. He ended up imprinting on her and started to pursue her. Now they’re engaged. Acting as a mother figure to the rest of the boys in the wolf pack, she cooks and cares for them, and during the council meetings, she even takes notes.
TRAGIC BEAUTY: There’s definitely a danger to being so close to a werewolf. If one gets angry near you, your life could be at risk. One swipe and it could be a life changer…or life ender. Emily knows this all too well. Once Sam’s temper got the best of him and he phased into a werewolf and accidentally struck Emily as she was standing too close to him. Now she’s left with three long scars on the right side of her face and another on her arm. One scar pulls down one of her eyes and another one pulls the corner of her mouth up, resulting in what looks like a permanent grimace. Despite her scars, she’s still quite beautiful, but of course every time Sam sees her he feels guilty for what he did to her.
