Jacob Black
WHO: Jacob Black is the youngest of the Black family at 15 years old, living in La Push, Washington, just near the town of Forks. His long, black hair rivals Bella’s own hair length, but he often pulls it back into a ponytail to show off dark eyes and russet skin. He also stands over 6’2” tall (in the books).
JUST A CRUSH? Even in the first Twilight book, Jacob was smitten with Bella. At first, Bella was completely oblivious to Jacob’s undivided attention, but that’s probably because she was only a teeny bit preoccupied with the magnificence that is Edward Cullen. Jacob, being the persistent little bugger that he is, began to make clear his feelings for her as they spent more and more time together.
THE GOOD QUALITIES: With such a laid back and cheerful attitude, it’s no wonder Bella is drawn to Jacob as a friend. His favorite phrase is telling of this: “Sure, sure”. Don’t tell me you didn’t start saying this too after you read the books. Admit it. On the other hand, he does have his bouts of temper, so it’d be a good idea to stay on his good side.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: In the normal human world, Jacob has a knack for fixing cars or anything with an engine, really (yes, that includes motorcycles!). BUT, as we found out in New Moon, there’s a lot more that Jacob can do…like morphing into a wolf.
