Quil Ateara
WHO: Quil Ateara lives in La Push along with Jacob Black and the rest of the wolf pack. In the books he’s described to be brawny and on the muscular side, with really short, black hair (obviously they decided to go with a different look for the movie). He seems to be a playful guy, and his mischievous grin to go with his personality. As a wolf, he has chocolate brown fur.
FAMILY TIES: Quil is the son of Quil Sr., who is the only living member of the Quileute tribe that was alive during the time the previous pack roamed La Push (during the time the Cullens first came to Forks prior to Bella arriving). Quil is also Jacob Black’s second cousin and are really close friends. When the two of them were still outsiders to Sam Uley’s "gang", they speculated together about what was going on, and were both scared that they would be recruited.
HAPPY TRANSFORMATION: After Jacob became a wolf, Quil was left in the dark since the wolf pack members were forbidden to share their secret. With all his former friends in the gang, he became really lonely. When his wolf transformation finally came, Quil was just so excited to be with his friends again and was glad to be in on the secret.
