Riley Biers
WHO: Riley Biers was probably a typical human boy when Victoria laid her trickery on him and turned him into a vampire. He was about Bella’s age when he was changed and is described as muscular and tall, with blond hair and red eyes (since he feeds on humans).
DOING THE DIRTY WORK: Somehow Victoria convinced Riley that she loved him and thus he became Victoria’s errand boy. He turned humans for her to help create the newborn army, which she asked him to lead. Victoria purposely had change people to vampires instead of herself, since she didn’t want to take a chance with the possibility of Edward reading any of their minds. Better to launch an attack if the target can’t see them coming. Victoria was pretty clever, you have to admit.
Riley was the one who snuck into Bella’s room to memorize her scent so they could find her more easily. Victoria supposedly chose him because he’s a little more mature than the other newborn vampires, who would’ve probably gone crazy and killed Charlie who was in the house while Riley snuck in. Victoria’s sole mission was to get revenge for her mate’s death, James, who Edward killed in Twilight. So obviously, Bella was the perfect target.
DEADLY LOVE: Riley’s love for Victoria was so strong that when Edward tried to tell him that Victoria was just using him, of course he didn’t listen. Too bad for him because he ended up paying the price…in death.
