Seth Clearwater
WHO: Seth Clearwater is the youngest of Harry and Sue Clearwater, which makes Leah his older sister. This also means that Seth is Emily Young’s second cousin. He’s described as tall and lanky, and often wears a big grin on his face. Because of his happy demeanor, Bella likens him to a younger Jacob Black.
Since he’s part of the Quileute tribe, it comes as no surprise that he ends up transforming into a werewolf too. He and his sister both changed around the same time at young ages. And like the rest of the wolf pack, he possesses telepathy within the pack, delayed aging, advanced healing, senses, endurance, durability and strength. As a werewolf, he stands tall but is still on the skinny side, and has sandy colored fur.
JACOB’S #1 FAN: It’s a funny thing that Seth reminds Bella of Jacob, since he idolizes Jacob. In fact, he eventually leaves Sam Uley’s wolf pack to join Jacob and becomes his second in charge. Some may call him clingy, but I say he’s a very loyal friend. That pack becomes a threesome when Leah joins in.
FRIENDLY FOE? Unexpectedly, Seth is friendly with the vampires. Well, of course not just any vampires. Seth and the Cullen family, particularly Edward, have a mutual respect for each other. Seth became closer to Edward because of the battle they fought against Victoria and Riley. However, the fact that Seth would come to the Cullens’ defense is a little shocking to the rest of the wolf pack. In Edward’s eyes though, Seth is very honest and pure with his thoughts so it’s not surprising that he sees the good in people.
